It was truly a celebration like no other as we announced the 13 Business Achievement Award recipients on Wednesday, Nov. 18. Despite a global pandemic, the Vaughan business community came together to support one another and recognize the significant accomplishments made throughout this past year.

“These are not easy times,” said event emcee Elvira Caria during the broadcast. “But this community has tenacity. We have perseverance. We WILL rise to the challenge that this pandemic has brought.”

“Together, as a community of businesses and consumers, we will get through this,” she said.

Although we pivoted from our usual in-person gala event, the Vaughan Chamber was humbled to see nearly 500 attendees join us virtually.

“There was a lot of discussion about how best to honour business excellence during a pandemic, and I think the fact that we had nearly 500 people watching from their homes or work is a testament to how we made the right choice,” said Brian Shifman, President and CEO of the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce.

Our team at the Vaughan Chamber wants to send a heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, emcee, BAA Committee, Board of Directors, and all who attended & participated. At a time when we all need some positivity, we surely felt the magic in the air during the event and we hope you felt it, too.

Without further ado, we would like to present and congratulate the 2020 Business Achievement Award winners!
