This month we’d like to highlight Caroline Grech, Manager of Government & Community Relations at Seneca College. Caroline has been a member of the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce for a number of years, and started volunteering in 2012. Talk about commitment!

Not only is Caroline the Co-Chair of the Government Relations Committee, she also assists with advocacy initiatives including debates, round tables and other political events. As a G.R. Committee member, she keeps her ear to the ground, learning about what issues are affecting our business community, and how the Chamber can advocate on their behalf.

Caroline is an active volunteer with the Chamber and says she loves working alongside the members on the Government Relations committee. She looks forward to the meetings because of the excellent group of people around the table.

As a resident of Vaughan, Caroline says volunteering helps her keep informed about what is going on in the community. Additionally, she loves attending chamber events and all the excitement that comes with them. One of her favourite aspects of volunteering is seeing a concept unfold from start to finish and watching her vision come to life. One event that stands out as a favourite in her eyes is a recent round table session the Vaughan Chamber hosted with Minister Champagne.

As Manager of Government & Community Relations at Seneca College, Caroline has an important role advocating for the college, building relationships and working on the student experience. She’s also responsible for making sure students have future career opportunities and are considered by potential employers when it comes to joining the work field.

As for her other passions, Caroline would let the travel bug take over if she wasn’t working full-time! She described her dream of climbing Machu Picchu in Peru, and we know one day she’ll make it there.

The Vaughan Chamber of Commerce is very thankful for all our volunteers, including Caroline Grech, who continues to show her dedication to our organization. Your efforts help us prosper as a chamber.
