Mackenzie Health Foundation supports Mackenzie Health’s mission to relentlessly improve care to create healthier communities through the funding of capital projects, medical equipment, technology and educational opportunities for Mackenzie Health. The Foundation just achieved an incredible $250 Million campaign milestone – the largest ever for a community hospital in Canada – but our work is not done. The Ultimate Campaign built and equipped Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and helped enhance care at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital; going forward, our fundraising efforts will ensure a steady flow of resources to attract the very best talent, advance excellence in our programs and services and secure the latest equipment and technology as we focus on providing the best possible outcomes for every patient who comes through our doors.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Campaigns the Manager, Community Giving helps drive revenue generation for the community engagement strategy and is a highly visible Foundation representative. The Manager is supported by and provides leadership and coaching to two direct reports. Guided by data analytics, the Manager plays a critical role in executing fundraising and engagement strategies with diverse citizens, community groups, schools, small/medium size businesses of York Region and beyond in supporting Mackenzie Health.

Position Qualifications
Applying excellent time and project management skills, the Manager partners with a team of volunteers dedicated to community giving and focuses on prospects and organizations at the range of $25,000 to $100,000 through personal solicitation, direct marketing, community events, cause related marketing, peer to peer and crowd funding. With strong relationship management, and coaching skills, the Manager will use their sound experience building teams and personal solicitation skills to lead the Emerging Leaders Council, launch a Women in Philanthropy program as well as build-out several target community initiatives to engage the rich diversity of our community. This is an exciting opportunity for a boots on the ground fundraiser to embrace the challenge of increasing community engagement and guiding a team to deliver an exceptional donor experience to our community.
