We’re excited to announce that our 17th Annual Women to Women Symposium will take place on Thursday, November 19 from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Join us for a powerful day dedicated to inspiring, empowering, and connecting women from across the region.
As York Region’s largest women’s event, this highly anticipated symposium brings together dynamic voices, meaningful conversations, and unforgettable experiences. The first 500 attendees will receive our signature Wellness Bag.
This year, we’re proud to feature keynote speaker Jessica Holmes, Mental Health and Well-Being Expert, who will share her insights on resilience, mindset, and thriving both personally and professionally.

Jessica Holmes
Mental Health and Well-Being Expert
A beloved comedian and Bell Let’s Talk celebrity ambassador, Jessica Holmes’ helps people take simple, sustainable steps toward fulfillment and well-being — one laugh at a time. Using a positive psychology framework, she blends lived experience with evidence-based strategies to help audiences build resilience, manage stress, and prioritize their mental health.
Like millions of Canadians, Holmes has lived with both postpartum depression and what she calls “regular, run-of-the-mill, garden-variety depression.” Committed to reducing stigma around mental health, she shares her personal experience with honesty, humour, and heart, highlighting the role adaptability plays in navigating life’s challenges. Her bestselling memoir, Depression The Comedy: A Tale of Perseverance (2018), was named one of the top 36 books about mental health by Good Housekeeping.
Known for her sharp celebrity impersonations and hilarious takes on everyday challenges, Holmes is a seasoned comedian who has opened for icons like Ellen DeGeneres, Russell Peters, Jerry Seinfeld, and Oprah Winfrey. She also starred in the hit comedy series Royal Canadian Air Farce and The Holmes Show.
Holmes holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology and is currently completing her master’s degree in the same field at the university of East London via distance learning.
