Beijng • Shanghai • Suzhou • Hangzhou
These four-stop excursions begin in Beijing where you’ll visit historic sites, including Tiananmen Square and the Palace Museum (also known as the Forbidden City).
Later, you’ll have the chance to walk the Great Wall of China and then explore the Ming Tombs. In Hangzhou, sight see from the water during a morning boat cruise and then enjoy a relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas and tea houses.
From there, you’ll travel to Suzhou where stops include a visit to the National Embroidery Institute to learn a bit about the history of silk embroidery, a local craft that dates back thousands of years. In Shanghai, the final stop on the tour, wander through the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and trees and enjoy a visit to Bund, Shanghai’s famous waterfront park.
